How to upload apk file in huawei play store

To upload an APK file to the Huawei AppGallery, Huawei's alternative to the Google Play Store, follow these steps:

1. Create a Huawei Developer Account

  • Go to the Huawei Developer website.
    https://developer.huawei.com/consumer/en/console/service/AppService
  • Sign up and complete the verification process.
  • After registering, you'll need to verify your identity (using documents like a passport or company information if applicable).

2. Access Huawei AppGallery Connect

  • Once your account is approved, go to AppGallery Connect.
  • Sign in using your Huawei Developer credentials.
  • Agree to the terms and conditions.

3. Create a New App

  • In AppGallery Connect, go to My Apps.
  • Click on Add New App.
  • Choose your app category (mobile, game, etc.).
  • Provide basic app information such as app name, language, and region.

4. Set Up App Information

  • Fill in all required app information like:
    • App description
    • App icon (at least 216 x 216 px)
    • Screenshots (up to 6 images in different resolutions)
    • Category and tags
  • If your app has in-app purchases, set up Huawei IAP (In-App Purchases).

5. Upload APK File

  • Go to the APK Information or App Package section.
  • Upload your APK file by clicking the Upload button and selecting your file.
  • Ensure the APK meets Huawei’s technical guidelines, such as:
    • Proper signature
    • Compatibility with Huawei’s mobile services (HMS) for apps relying on services like maps, push notifications, etc.

6. Set Permissions and Policies

  • Declare any permissions your app requires.
  • Set the app’s target audience and content rating.

7. Submit for Review

  • Once you have filled in all the details and uploaded the APK, submit your app for review.
  • The review process can take a few days, depending on Huawei's internal processes.

8. Monitor App Review and Release

  • You can monitor the status of your submission in AppGallery Connect.
  • After approval, your app will be published and available for download in the Huawei AppGallery.

Additional Considerations:

  • Ensure your app complies with Huawei AppGallery guidelines.
  • If your app relies on Google services, you may need to integrate Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) as a substitute.
